Golf Dorval has been quietly anchoring the West Island since 1960. The current 18-hole layout was reimagined by celebrated Canadian architect Graham Cooke and reopened in June 1982 — a course that puts a premium on shape over strength, and rewards thinking before swinging.
The front nine moves through mature stands of maple and oak, with bunkers placed where they ask the most honest question. The back nine opens up just enough to let you breathe, then tightens around the closing stretch where a steady putter is worth more than a long drive.
